Frequently Asked Questions

 We operate virtually, using secure technology to collaborate effectively with organizations anywhere. This approach allows us to be more responsive and cost-effective while providing high-quality financial support. 


 We primarily serve nonprofits looking for strategic financial support and streamlined systems. While we don't have strict size requirements, we often work best with organizations ready to invest in professional financial management to support their growth. 


 Once we agree to work together, we can typically begin within a few weeks. The exact timeline depends on your organization's needs and current systems. 


 We start with a thorough review of your current systems and needs. Then we create a customized plan to implement improvements, including any necessary clean-up, system transitions, or process development. 


 We primarily work with QuickBooks Online and supplemental software integrated with this system, but we're also experienced with other nonprofit-focused platforms like Blackbaud Financial Edge. We help select and implement the right tools for your organization's needs. 


 While we have extensive nonprofit accounting experience, we don't currently prepare Form 990s. We do help organizations prepare for tax season and can coordinate with your tax preparer. 


 While we're experts in accounting software and related applications, we don't provide general IT support. We recommend maintaining a relationship with an IT professional for network, hardware, and general computer issues. 


 You'll need reliable internet access and basic computer capabilities to work with our cloud-based solutions. We'll help you get set up with any specific accounting or financial tools needed. 


 We take a practical approach to protecting your information while maintaining confidentiality. Sensitive personal information (like Social Security numbers) is handled through a secure portal, while routine financial documents and communication are handled via email. We partner only with reputable technology providers and never share your organization's information with outside parties except when legally required. While we exercise reasonable care in all communications, we cannot guarantee email security and recommend using our secure portal for sensitive data. 


 While we primarily work remotely for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, we can arrange in-person meetings when necessary.


 We bill monthly and accept payment via ACH. Invoices are due within 15 days of receipt. 


 We can adjust our services as your organization grows or changes. If there's a significant change in scope, we'll discuss and agree on any fee adjustments in writing.
